Donald “Case” SpencerSpencer began his career with Marriott in 1998 in Nashville, Tenn. where he served as a front desk clerk at the Nashville Airport Marriott. From there he held various management roles at both the former Fort Lauderdale Marina Marriott in Florida and the Courtyard Charlotte Arrowood in North Carolina. In 2001, Spencer moved to the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa in Lexington, Ky. where he assumed various roles including director of services, director of room operations and director of restaurant operations. Spencer joined Marriott Vacation Club in 2007 and was appointed to general manager of both Marriott’s Harbour Pointe and Marriott’s Sunset Point in Shelter Cove on Hilton Head Island. A recognized and respected leader, Spencer was honored as a “World Class Leader” by Marriott Vacation Club in 2008 and was selected as the brand’s “General Manager of the Year” in 2009.
