Max Ng has been appointed Senior Vice President of Development at Interstate China Hotels & Resorts, an Interstate Hotels and Jin Jiang International Hotels Joint Venture in Shanghai
Mr. Ng will be responsible for developing new business for the company in Greater China. In addition, he will be working closely with the rest of Interstate China senior management team to further develop and oversee the independent hotel management model in the market. Chris van der Baars, Chief Operating Officer at Interstate China Hotels & Resorts, said: "Mr. Ng's diverse hospitality background of domestic and international hotel groups, excellent interpersonal communication skills with employees, clients and business partners, and extensive knowledge of developing new hotel projects makes him the ideal candidate to build our company's business in China." Mr. Ng has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Interstate China, Mr. Ng held various positions in international and domestic hotel groups in Toronto, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. He oversaw business development projects, increased company growth, and managed employee performance for Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Swiss Belhotel International Management, Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts, KWG Property Holding Limited, Gloria International Hotels Management, and Queen Plaza Hotel, to list a few.
