Sebastian Schwietzer has been appointed Director of Food and Beverage at London Marriott Hotel County Hall
The London Marriott Hotel County Hall has appointed Sebastian Schwietzer as Director of Food and Beverage. Starting in January 2013, Sebastian will be responsible for the food and beverage operations for both the hotel and its signature restaurant, Gillray’s Steakhouse & Bar. Sebastian joins from the London Marriott Hotel Kensington where he has spent the last two years as Food & Beverage Service Manager. He began his hospitality career at Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin in 2003 where he worked as a junior waiter and private butler. He then spent two years as a trainee in the hotel’s sales and marketing department before working as Service Chef for House of Switzerland during the 2008 Beijing Olympics and qualifying with aBachelor of International Business in Hotel and Tourism Management from theUniversity Cesar Ritz in Switzerland in 2009. That same year Sebastian was employed as Assistant Food & Beverage Manager for Mövenpick Resort & Spa El Gouna in Egypt. During his time there Sebastian was responsible for the day-to-day operations of the 554-room hotel’s nine food and beverage outlets as well as introducing new food and beverage concepts and managing the renovation and reopening of the hotel’s main restaurant, Palavrion.
