Steffen Raub The EHL Researcher of the Year prize for 2012 has been awarded to Mr Steffen Raub. Mr Raub succeeds Mrs Hilary Murphy who received the award for her work in 2011. His reward is a six month sabbatical leave which will be devoted to pursuing a research project. Steffen Raub will however continue to give lectures at EHL during this period. The candidate selection process involves three steps. Firstly, EHL faculty members nominate one or several EHL professors. Secondly, each nominated candidate submits a research portfolio. Finally these portfolios are evaluated by a committee comprised of Mr Fabien Fresnel (Dean), Mr Pierre Ihmle (Vice Dean), Mr Mike Sturman (associate professor at EHL) and Mr Yves Rey (HES-SO representative) and a final winner is chosen. The evaluation takes into account the research funds obtained by each professor, their services to research to both the internal and external EHL community and the number and quality of their publications (2012 publications represent 70% of the vote and publications from 2008-2012 represent 30%).
