Rex LohRex Loh has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing of InterContinental Singapore by General Manager, Shantha de Silva. He joins from The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, bringing with him over 15 years of valuable experience helming sales, marketing and revenue functions in the hospitality industry. During his tenure at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, Rex successfully developed and implemented measures to achieve growth in yield, and was responsible for the launch of the Ritz-Carlton Club Lounge. Under his leadership, the hotel achieved the highest benchmark RevPAR performance since 2004. Prior to that, Rex spent two years with The Ritz-Carlton Sanya in a similar capacity Rex began his hospitality career at Shangri-La Singapore in 1999, where he rose through the ranks to become Assistant Director of Business Development (MICE), before joining The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore as associate director of sales in 2003. A Singapore national, Rex graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with a major in travel industry management. He is also a certified meeting professional since 2004, as conferred by the internationally recognized United States based Convention Industry Council.
