Rickie Pares Jr.The elegant French Quarter hotel, the Omni Royal Orleans, has appointed nine-year Omni Hotels & Resorts veteran Rickie L. Pares, Jr., as director of rooms for the seven-story luxury hotel. Pares joins Omni Royal Orleans from the Omni Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, where he was promoted to director of rooms, responsible for the 1,070-guest room hotel connected to Phillips Arena, the George World Congress Center and the College Football Hall of Fame. A New Orleans native, Pares began his career with Omni Hotels & Resorts in 2005 as a front office supervisor at the Omni Charlotte Hotel, where he later returned as the property’s front office manager. His attention to detail and increased knowledge allowed Pares to quickly move up through the ranks. He served two years as assistant front office manager at the Omni Jacksonville Hotel in Jacksonville, Fla., then as front office manager at Omni Royal Orleans from 2008 to 2010. During his prior employment at Omni Royal Orleans, Pares was selected to spend several months participating in Omni’s Global Hotel Alliance Exchange Program for the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski in Munich, Germany. He achieved Omni’s Hotels’ Housekeeping Department of the Year Award in 2011 during his tenure as director of housekeeping at Omni Bedford Springs Resort in Bedford, Pa., and also was deployed as a task force member attending to three different Omni properties, Omni Jacksonville Hotel, Omni Charlotte Hotel and Omni Parker House in Boston, Mass.
