Appointed Director of Sales & Marketing

Patty KangThe Axiom Hotel (28 Cyril Magnin St.), opening this winter, is pleased to appoint Patty Kang as Director of Sales & Marketing. With a multifaceted background in the hospitality industry, Kang brings a fresh and international approach to her new role at the Axiom Hotel, owned by Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. and managed by Kokua Hospitality, LLC. Kang’s career began in the luxury hotel market at the Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott Seoul in South Korea before obtaining a degree from Cornell University’s School of Hospitality Management. Kang went on to gain experience in corporate catering sales at the Aramark in Chicago, Illinois before diving into the marketing world with real estate company Manhattist in New York City. Later, Kang went on to become the Food & Beverage Outlets Manager at The Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. Most recently, she oversaw all marketing and rebranding efforts as Marketing Manager for the Claremont Hotel Club & Spa in Berkeley, CA before making the jump across the Bay to oversee sales and marketing for San Francisco’s new Axiom Hotel. Kang sits on the Board of Directors for the Cornell Northern California Alumni Association. A natural-born teacher, she continues to mentor prospective and current students at Cornell University.
