Lisa KaplanAssociated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has expanded its Global Sales team in the Northeast U.S. region and Midwest U.S. region. Lisa Kaplan has joined as Director of Sales in ALHIs Boston Global Sales office, and Michelle Lauer has joined as Director of Sales in ALHIs Chicago Global Sales office. In their new positions they are responsible for assisting meeting professionals, association executives, incentive specialists, business executives and convention specialists in their respective regions with ALHI Global Sales Organization (GSO) services and professional sales support for its distinguished portfolio of more than 250 luxury-level Meeting & Incentive focused hotels and resorts around the world, plus distinctive A lliance members to assist planners. The announcement of the appointments was made by ALHI President Jim Schultenover. Prior to joining ALHIs Northeast U.S. Global Sales team as Director of Sales, Lisa Kaplan served for 15 years in Boston as Key Account Director for the Financial, Banking & Insurance markets for InterContinental Hotels Group. Previous to that, she served for 10 years as Director of Global Accounts for Westin Hotels & Resorts, also based in Boston. In her new position at ALHI, she is responsible for serving the M.I.C.E. (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions/Conferences and Exhibitions/Events) marketplace in the Northeast U.S., with a focus on New England and New York City, and also a focus on serving the meeting needs of the Financial, Banking & Insurance sectors in the region.
