Darren PryerSt. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino is pleased to announce the appointment of Darren Pryer as Executive Sous Chef for the resort. Chef Pryer brings with him over a decade of culinary experience and a longstanding history with the Marriott Brand. In his new role, Chef Pryer will assist in the daily operations of the resort’s eight onsite restaurants, as well as catering for special events. Chef Pryer joins St. Kitts Marriott from his previous role as the Executive Chef at the St. Pierre Marriott Hotel & Country Club in Wales. He began his career at the age of 16, training as a YTS Chef with Thistle Hotels. After working in both London and Germany, he joined the Marriott family in 2002, where he began as the Senior Sous Chef at the Liverpool Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Pryer has since served as the Executive Chef at both the Swansea Marriott Hotel as well as the Worsley Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club. His time spent in London, Germany and working in Italy as a head chef for a four-star hotel have prepared him for his current role. Chef Pryer’s extensive background in the culinary arts and his journeys around the world have helped to shape his culinary style. “My experience in different countries has allowed me to develop a balanced approach to cooking and I am looking forward to applying my skills to my new role here in the Caribbean.” His focus on seasonality and using the freshest ingredients to create beautifully crafted dishes have been the keys to his success.
