Christian Hirt has been appointed General Manager at Raffles Istanbul
Peter French, President, Raffles Hotels & Resorts, has announced the appointment of Christian Hirt as General Manager of Raffles Istanbul. Mr Hirt took up the position on Monday 11 April 2016. Hirt’s career began in his native Germany and he has since gained experience in North America, Europe and Australia. He knows Istanbul from the time he was Director of Operations at Swissôtel The Bosphrous, Istanbul for three years. He then transferred to Swissôtel Sydney as General Manager from 2013 to April 2016. Prior to joining Swissôtel Hotels and Resorts, Hirt held executive positions with Le Méridien and Kempinski hotel group in Germany, St. Petersburg, Russia and North America. Christian Hirt completed an MBA at Reims Management School in France and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Hotel & Restaurant Administration from the Hotel Management Academy in Germany.
