Ricardo “Rich” Ramirez The Carneros Inn, a PlumpJack Resort in Napa, is pleased to appoint Ricardo “Rich” Ramirez as Director of Sales. Combining more than 23 years of hospitality and international sales experience, Ramirez oversees the entire sales operations for The Carneros Inn and specializes in luxury travel with a focus on high end leisure, corporate meetings-incentive groups and preferred brand partnerships such as Virtuoso, Signature and Ensemble Consortia. Ramirez’ career began in his hometown at the Regent Beverly Wilshire and The Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills, where he gained sales management experience that would later catapult his career to introduce and develop global and regional sales offices for numerous international hotels, including Las Brisas Resort (Acapulco, Mexico), Sofitel Los Angeles (Beverly Hills) and Palmilla Resort (Los Cabos, Mexico), among others. Prior to joining The Carneros Inn, Ramirez opened the San Francisco International Sales Office for Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces’ in 2007 and led the global sales efforts for nine years as the Director of Global Sales (Western & Mid-West Regions). Taj Hotels is a five-star hotel brand that oversees 108 hotels across India and 17 hotels in New York, Boston, San Francisco, the UK, Africa, Maldives, Malaysia, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Middle East. During this time, Ramirez was recognized as Best Director of Sales of Taj International Sales Offices with established clients in the entertainment, financial, and technology industries. A natural born leader, Ramirez is involved in numerous industry organizations such as Global Business Travel Association, Association of Corporate Travel Executives, Meeting Planners International, and Bay Area / Silicon Valley Business Travel Association, among others.
