Hilton Worldwide announced the appointment of Steven Qualls to the position of general manager of Embassy Suites by Hilton Atlanta Buckhead in Atlanta, Georgia. Qualls returns to Hilton after three years with Aimbridge Hospitality, one of the largest independent management companies in North America and the Caribbean, where he managed and oversaw the top to bottom renovation of Embassy Suites by Hilton Jacksonville. In his new role he will oversee operations for the 316-all suite hotel located on Peachtree Road, within blocks of Atlanta’s most sought-after shopping, dining and entertainment district effective immediately. Qualls returns to the Atlanta area where he began his hospitality career at Hilton Atlanta Airport immediately after graduating from The Pennsylvania State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Management. Since that time he has held several positions in both the front and in the heart of the hotel including director of housekeeping and director of front office at Hilton Atlanta Airport, the then Fontainebleau Hilton and Hilton Pittsburgh. Prior to his most recent role as general manager of Embassy Suites by Hilton Jacksonville Baymeadows, Qualls was assistant general manager at Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown Magnificent Mile. Qualls is accompanied by his wife Cathy and their two children Jessica and Garrett.
