Jean Luc Amannhe Laucala Island in Fiji, one of the world’s most exclusive private islands, has appointed Jean Luc Amann as Executive Chef. Originally from France, Chef Jean Luc has more than 30 years of experience and has even catered for royalty, including His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, King Abdullah of Jordan, HM The Queen, the late Princess Diana, HRH Prince Charles, HRH Prince Harry and HM King Juan Carlos Alfonso of Spain. Before joining Laucala Island, Chef Jean Luc worked in various hotels as Executive Chef in Dubai, Azerbaijan, Oman, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong. Having studied and trained at the Strasbourg Hotel School in France, Chef Jean Luc has since become an Honorary Brevet de Maîtrise Cuisiniers de France (Master Chef of France); preserving and spreading the French culinary arts to the world, and is also a member of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, an international association of gastronomy now established in over 80 countries. Chef Jean-Luc grew up in a small town in Alsace and is a keen photographer.
