Madelijn Vervoord Already Director of the InterContinental Marseille - Hotel-Dieu since 2012, she has been entrusted with the reins of two other 5-star hotels in the South of France: InterContinental Bordeaux - Le Grand Hôtel and Future InterContinental of Lyon which will open next year. These three prestigious establishments have the common points of being housed in the historic buildings of internationally renowned cities, and to give an important place to gastronomy (including star chefs in Marseille and Bordeaux). Based in Marseilles, Madelijn Vervoord will have the task of working on the launch of the future InterContinental Hotel in Lyon in 2018 - a project very similar to the one she carried out in the Marseille city, Times the transformation of an old hotel-Dieu into a 5-star establishment. This hotel is located on the banks of the River Rhone in a 17th-century listed building and will house 143 rooms and suites and a 2,500 m2 conference center. At the head of the InterContinental Marseille-Hotel-Dieu for five years, Madelijn Vervoord had managed from the beginning the project of rehabilitation of this building of a century and a half. Since its opening in 2013, it has successfully met the real challenge of ensuring the local anchorage of this establishment while ensuring a large and diverse international clientele, both prerequisites for its success and profitability. Madelijn Vervoord had previously worked for eight years at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand, one of the world's leading luxury ships. After having managed several operational departments, she was promoted to the hotel's Director in 2008.
