A German national, Boris was raised in Germany and Japan. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management from Purdue University, USA and is currently a part-time Executive MBA Scholarship Student at the Mannheim Business School in Germany.
Boris possesses extensive work experience throughout China. He started his career in Asia as a front office nanager at Grand Hyatt Beijing in 2002 before taking the next step on the ladder as director of rooms at Hyatt Regency Hangzhou in 2004. Another couple of years later, he moved back to Grand Hyatt Beijing in the same capacity.
In 2008, Boris became director of operations at the Conrad Shanghai and shortly thereafter was appointed resident manager and subsequently resort manager of the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. An assignment at the Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa in Thailand was followed by Boris joining Wanda Hotels & Resorts. He managed with great success the Wanda Vista Changsha as well as the Wanda Reign Wuhan which, in 2015, led to him earning the responsibility to open their flagship Wanda Reign on the Bund, Shanghai and a promotion to managing director of East China.

31 October 2019 — Four Seasons Resort, The Nam Hai, Hoi An, Vietnam announces the appointment of Blaise Montandon as General Manager of the award-winning beachside sanctuary. In this role, Montandon will be responsible for overseeing the Resort operations of 100 luxurious seaside villas while maintaining the unparalleled experience that is synonymous with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
28 October 2019 — The brass bell adorning the entryway of The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort rings mighty at the hands of Bahamian Kristen Whyly, returning home as Resort Manager. After more than a decade abroad delighting Four Seasons guests in Thailand, Hawaii and, finally, Washington, DC, the native-born Bahamian returns to his roots.
