Michael Chin

Chicago's Drake Hotel, one of the city's most historic and iconic hotels, has a new manager, Michael Chin. Chin will supervise day-to-day hotel operations and provide leadership and strategic planing for all hotel departments at the 609-room property.  Chin brings 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry to his new role at the Drake. His previous positions include senior manager for Hilton, a role in which he focused on hotel openings and brand performance support for the chain's luxury and lifestyle brands.

Chin also previously worked as a quality assurance manager for Hilton and was director of food and beverage for the suburban Hoffman Estates Park District. Chin holds a degree in business management from Northern Illinois University and more recently received a certificate for leadership from Cornell University.
