Raul Ainardi

Eric Horodas, President of Greystone Hotels, announces the appointment of Raul Ainardi as General Manager of both the Fairfield Inn & Suites Downtown Bend and the TownePlace Suites Bend. With more than 18 years in the hospitality industry, Raul brings experience managing select- and full-service destination hotels and resorts and a strong familiarity with the Marriott brand to his new role within Greystone Hotels. Most recently, Raul served as General Manager of the Red Lion Inn & Suites Deschutes River in Bend.

Born and raised in Seattle, Raul began his hospitality career with Marriott International, working various positions at properties including Vail Marriott Mountain Resort, Chicago Marriott Downtown, and Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa (formerly a Marriott hotel). Raul took his first General Manager role in 2008 at the Red Lion Inn & Suites in Bend—a role he once again assumed in 2017. Raul has served as General Manager at properties including Ka-Nee-Ta Resort & Spa in Warm Springs, Oregon and SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Bend, and has also held positions at the corporate level for Destination Hotels & Resorts and Red Lion Hotels Corporation.

A graduate of Central Washington University with a degree in Hospitality Management, Raul is a former member of the US Army Reserves and a former board member of the United Way of Deschutes County. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the outdoors in Central Oregon, where there is always something new to experience.

A motivated and highly-qualified addition to the team, Barden will oversee operations for Greystone's collection of San Francisco hotels, which includes the King George, the Hotel Griffon, and the Inn at Union Square.
