Tristan Harris

Embassy Suites by Hilton Alexandria Old Town and Hilton Garden Inn Alexandria Old Town King St. Metro today announced Tristan Harris has been appointed complex general manager. Both properties are managed by Hilton Management Services.

In his new role, Harris will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the 288-suite Embassy Suites by Hilton Alexandria Old Town and the 109-room Hilton Garden Inn Alexandria Old Town King St. Metro. Harris will be responsible for guest services, hotel administration and marketing efforts.

A 19-year hospitality veteran, Harris most recently served as general manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington Vermont, where he transitioned the hotel from a Sheraton to a DoubleTree by Hilton brand. Prior to joining Hilton, Harris served as general manager of Sheraton Portsmouth Harborside Hotel.

Harris began his career in hospitality as a front office manager at Sheraton Nashua Hotel. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of roles, including director of housekeeping and hotel manager at Sheraton Burlington Hotel and Conference Center (now DoubleTree by Hilton Burlington Vermont), director of housekeeping at Westin Crown Center and director of rooms at Sheraton Colonial Hotel and Golf Club.

Harris is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, receiving both his Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration and his MBA.
