Ron Ryan

Appointed General Manager
At YOTEL San Francisco - CA, USA

Ron Ryan

The tech-driven YOTEL brand is pleased to welcome a new senior-level addition to the team with the recent appointment of Ron Ryan as General Manager of
YOTEL San Francisco
. The aviation-inspired hotel, which opened its doors earlier this year in February 2019, is now embarking upon its next chapter with the addition of global hospitality industry veteran, Ryan at its helm. A seasoned leader in the travel industry, Ryan brings over 25 years of expertise in marketing, brand development, and hotel management to the newly opened property situated in the Mid-Market neighborhood.

Ron Ryan has a dynamic background with experience managing several notable San Francisco properties over his tenure including W Hotel San Francisco, Hotel Adagio, and The Hotel Del Sol San Francisco. Previously the General Manager at Hotel Carlton in the Joie de Vivre collection, he also managed properties in Canada, including a decade of experience at the flagship Four Seasons Toronto. His distinguished array of notable hotel experience in the market brings new insight and strategy to YOTEL San Francisco as we move to 2020.

Perfectly matched to a city that's evolved into a global hub for business and innovation, the 203 'cabin' (i.e. guestroom), YOTEL San Francisco —recently named by The Independent as one of the best places to stay in the City by the Bay—offers everything today's time-crunched, discerning traveler wants for a tasteful yet affordable quality stay in the city center (SFO and visitor attractions such as Fisherman's Wharf and Alcatraz are within 15-20 minutes from the property), speaking to recent travel patterns as reported on by the New York Times. The hotel also appeals to savvy 'Millennial travelers' according to Forbes, and tech-forward business and leisure travelers, because of its proximity to offices and convention attendees going to Moscone Center.

"The technology-driven San Francisco property aims to redefine modern hospitality, with distinctive signature amenities and services such as airline-style self-check-in kiosks that focus on efficiency and seamless travel," said Hubert Viriot, CEO of YOTEL. "YOTEL is proud to offer the opportunity to experience the city in an entirely new 'way to stay', assuring guests have 'everything they need and nothing they don't', setting us apart from traditional hospitality offerings."

Situated in the historic Grant Building that survived both the 1906 and 1989 earthquakes in San Francisco, YOTEL San Francisco marks the brand's first adaptive restorative project and combines historical features with YOTEL's future-forward design including the brand's first-ever Sky Cabin room category.
