David Kerr

Born and raised in Orange County, David Kerr graduated from Chapman University with a degree in Business Administration with double minors in Marketing and International Business. His journey into the hospitality industry began at the Monarch Beach Resort (formerly St. Regis Monarch Beach), where he managed the front desk and rewrote their upsell program that led the team to half a million dollars a year that led to the benchmark over the course of his five year employment. This eventually led to rooms controller, night audit and revenue analyst positions. He then entered a managerial role at the SLS Beverly Hills as front desk manager and overnight manager for two years, and eventually became front office and housekeeping manager positions (consecutively) at The Sunset Tower Hotel in Hollywood. A year following, he met the Ironwave Management team and was invited to visit Timber Cove Resort where he accepted the role of Hotel Manager, responsible for all rooms operations and results. Within three months, he became Revenue Manager and the Sonoma Coast resort is currently seeing groundbreaking results and was recently announced as 2019's top resort in Northern California by Conde Nast Traveler. He still holds this position alongside his pivotal role at The Setting Inn Napa Valley.
In his new role with The Setting Inn Napa Valley, Kerr is responsible for all aspects of hotel operations, from overseeing day-to-day staff and quality standard of service to maintaining community relations, and revenue management. He oversees and improves all hospitality aspects of the property's current and future needs, to showcase a new type of respite for travelers looking to explore all that wine country has to offer in a home-away-from-home setting under new ownership.
