Charlie Parker

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai welcomes new General Manager Charlie Parker, who has spent more than two decades in various positions at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts worldwide. Parker will lead the expansive oceanfront Resort through the launch of a resort-wide renovation, the first of this scope since opening more than 20 years ago. Also overseeing the operation of Hualalai's residences, Parker brings a breadth of luxury hospitality experience and knowledge to his new role.

The only Five-Star, Five-Diamond Resort on Hawaii Island has recently unveiled a dramatic resort-wide transformation. A new pool at King's Pond, fresh greens at Hualalai Golf Course, and a portion of the Resort's refreshed accommodations have debuted while updates throughout the Resort continue to progress. At King's Pond, guests will now enjoy a second infinity pool overlooking the award-winning 1.8 million gallon swimmable aquarium. A dedicated Marine Center will be home to the Resort's five on-staff Marine Biologists, who lead a curriculum of ocean preservation and marine life activities. Rooms and suites throughout the Resort have received a full renovation including new furniture, décor, and bathroom finishes. In the coming months, the remainder of the rooms will be completed including a full remodel of Hualalai's top three villas - Hawai'i Loa, Makaloa, and Ho'onanea. These villas will receive a second story, indoor-outdoor living space, and private plunge pool. The addition of a state-of-the-art Culinary Academy rounds out the more than USD 100 million renovation, which will be completed by mid-2021.

Born in Scotland and raised in the UK, Parker received a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management from Michigan State University and University of Surrey. After graduating, he joined Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, launching his 24-year career with the luxury hospitality brand. Parker has worked in a variety of positions and departments before his promotion to General Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire in 2011. Following Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, Parker has contributed to the success of a multitude of hotels and resorts in Newport Beach, Maldives at Kuda Huraa, Maldives Explorer, Doha, Sharm El Sheikh, Hampshire, London at Ten Trinity Square, and most recently Oahu at Ko Olina. This diverse background provided a keen sense of the operation and serves as the foundation for his leadership as General Manager.

During his free time, Parker and his wife Rebeca spend time with their family taking golf, tennis and water sports including scuba diving to surfing. Parker spent the last two and a half years exploring the culture and landscape of Oahu, and looks forward to continuing his appreciation and admiration for Hawaii on Hawaii Island.
