Nigel Pereira

Grand Hyatt Dubai has appointed Nigel Pereira as its director of reservations and revenue strategy.

He will support the brand's value proposition, whilst maximising overall revenue and identifying new business opportunities. An overarching goal of Pereira will be to deliver to the hotel's shareholders, exceeded targets, and develop himself into a true hospitality leader.

The Indian national has worked in hospitality since 1995, starting as a front office assistant for what is now Leela, Kempinski in Mumbai. He then moved to Taj - one of India's leading hospitality firms - as an assistant front office.

In 1999, he found himself with Jumeirah Group, working as reservations manager for rooms and F&B restaurants. Staying on for eight years, Pereira would continue to develop in the UAE hotel market. Following a brief period with IHG, he worked with Atlantis, The Palm for close to 14 years.

Starting as director of reservations, selling and promotions, he would rise the ranks to director of global reservations for Atlantis, The Palm and One&Only Resorts global. His most recent role was as director of guest services, resort reservations and resort activity point.
