Noelle Stevenson named Director at Connecticut Office of Tourism

The Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) today announced Noelle Stevenson as the new Director of the Connecticut Office of Tourism.
Stevenson has more than two decades of executive leadership experience in destination marketing organizations, with experience in entertainment, cultural and lifestyle tourism. She has been responsible for marketing, advertising, brand strategy, public relations, partnerships, festivals and events, and hospitality programs with proven track record of generating strong economic impact.
Stevenson most recently served as a member of the Executive Leadership Team at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau, an agency under the Broward County Board of County Commissioners which includes 31 municipalities. In that role, Stevenson expanded the focus of the division from film and entertainment to include music, nightlife, fashion and shopping, as well as art and cultural tourism.
Prior to that role, Stevenson served as vice president of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau where she led a rebranding effort designed to broaden the destination's mission and initiatives. Under her leadership, the expanded division included programs in film, music, fashion/shopping, and Boutique & Lifestyle Hotels, a segment that accounted for over 75% of Miami-Dade's hotel inventory.
Stevenson is fluent in six languages. She studied in the French Lycée in Athens Greece, receiving her International Baccalaureate, before earning a Bachelor of Science degree in business and organization from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. Stevenson also completed a P.D.P. Program in Marketing Management at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
Stevenson succeeds Randy Fiveash, who retired in April.
