Wun-Jea Shin

The Candler Hotel, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton and managed by Highgate Properties, recently announced Wun-Jea Shin as its new Director of Food & Beverage. Shin, who arrives at The Candler Hotel with more than two decades of executive experience in hospitality, will oversee daily operations of The Candler Hotel's banquet services, in-room dining and flagship restaurant, By George.

Shin, a graduate of Young-San University in Korea, has worked with several notable hospitality brands including Four Seasons, Waldorf Astoria — a luxury brand of Hilton — and most recently the Mandarin Oriental in Washington, D.C. As Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at the Mandarin Oriental, Shin managed day-to-day operations for each of the hotel's three dining concepts, in addition to in-room dining and banquet services. In 2018, Shin played a key role during the opening of Atlanta's first Waldorf Astoria in Buckhead, formerly the Mandarin Oriental Atlanta.

Shin looks forward to elevating all culinary experiences at The Candler Hotel, from high-profile private events to craft cocktails and dinner after work.
