Heinrich Morio

General manager Heinrich Morio has left The Standard Bangkok after two years, moving to Qatar's remote health sanctuary, the Zulal Wellness Retreat.

During his time in the role, The Standard in Bangkok became talk of the town, welcoming, as Conde Nast Traveller put it, "high-heeled fashionistas, creative directors and what-are-they-famous-for socialites".

At Zulal Wellness Resort, Morio will be responsible for overseeing all areas of operations, sales, commercials and marketing. With a culture of wellness at the forefront, every aspect of his service delivery will be focussed on providing an environment that encourages healthy lifestyles and wellbeing.

Before Bangkok, Morio was, among other things, Saudi Arabia's chief hospitality advisor in the Royal Private Affairs office; the general manager of Palazzo Versace Dubai; managing director of Emerald Palace Kempinski & Kempinski Residences Palm Jumeirah and EAM of the Peninsula in Beverly Hills.
