Ruben Perez named Regional Sales Director at Velas Resorts
With world-class meeting venues in Los Cabos, Vallarta - Nayarit and Riviera Maya, Mexico's Velas Resorts announces Ruben Perez has been named Regional Sales Director - Southwest for Meetings & Incentives, effective immediately. Prior to joining Velas Resorts, Perez most recently served as Senior Director of Sales & Services for Discover Denton Texas. He was responsible for promoting Denton to Travel and Meeting buyers nationwide. Additionally, Perez served as the Executive Vice President at Lamont Associates, a site selection and meeting planning firm based in Southlake Texas, worked in various leadership roles with Visit Dallas, and held several sales leadership roles with Starwood Hotels and Resorts at properties in Dallas and in the Starwood Global Sales Organization in New York City. Another remarkable highlight in his meetings and incentives career, Perez currently sits on the 2023 SITE Texas Board of Directors as the Vice President of Sponsorship.
