Genaro Noe Morantes

Marriott International is pleased to announce the appointment of Genaro Noe Morantes as Timeshare General Manager of AC Hotel San José Escazú and Residence Inn San José Escazú.

"I am pleased by this appointment, being in charge of two different brand properties, each one with its proposal for different traveler profiles, is a responsibility that I assume with great joy and commitment, supported by an extremely talented team," said Morantes.

Morantes' nine-year career in the hospitality industry has led him to various leadership roles, which have prepared him to assume his first position as general manager today.

His career in hospitality has been marked by a passion for customer service, the growth of his teams, and excellence to offer the best experiences to guests and customers of the hotels where he has worked.

Graduated from the Libertador Experimental Pedagogical University as a professor of Geography and History, Universal History and a Higher University Technician in Computer Science, he started in the labor market in areas such as customer service, administration and training, among others; until in 2014 he took his first steps in the industry that would become his great passion: the hotel industry, hand in hand with Marriott International.

He started as a training coordinator at JW Marriott Caracas, where a year later he was promoted to manager of bars and restaurants. A year later, in 2016, he moved to the Marriott Playa Grande, also located in his native Venezuela, to take over as director of food and beverage.

In 2017 he moved to Costa Rica where he worked as director of food and beverages in a Josefino hotel, until in 2018 he returned to Marriott International, as operations manager of AC Hotel San José Escazú, a position from which he participated in the opening of the property.

In 2021 he received a promotion to timeshare operations manager, now in charge of AC Hotel San José Escazú and Residence Inn San José Escazú, and a year later he was promoted to the position of timeshare assistant to the general manager. In June 2023, he assumes the general management of both properties.

Genaro Morantes is a charismatic leader, whose mission is focused on excellence oriented to customer service, but also to promote spaces for growth and human talent; guided by his good attitude in the face of challenges.

Morantes enjoys reading and swimming in his spare time, as well as the adrenaline rush of Formula 1.
