Michele Giraudo has been appointed General Manager at Silversands Grenada
Silversands Grenada - the super sleek, contemporary property located on the sandy palmed fringed shores of Grand Anse Beach - is delighted to announce the appointment of Michele Giraudo as General Manager. Having started the new role in late May 2023, Michele boasts an incredibly impressive CV. He brings over two decades of experience in ultra-luxury hospitality to Silversands, which is home to the longest pool in the Caribbean, superb cuisine, a state-of-the-art spa and exquisite suites - and has established itself as the most exciting hotel on the Spice Island, since opening in December 2018.
Michele has previously worked for prominent luxury brands such as Six Senses, Aman, and Relais & Chateaux, taking his unwavering dedication to guest experience and satisfaction, plus employee engagement and financial success, across continents. Most recently, he served as the opening GM of One&Only Portonovi - the first European resort for the ultra-luxury brand - before collaborating with property developers in Montenegro and the Caribbean. This unrivalled experience, which has included being part of teams responsible for both opening world-class resorts and improving operations of established properties, has earned him huge recognition within the hospitality industry. A graduate of Ecole hotelière de Lausanne and Cornell University, he is also fluent in English, French, Italian, and Spanish.
Michele will lead the team at Silversands to further shape the iconic brand as it expands throughout the island, guiding the resort as it adds an additional 28 bedrooms and suites to its portfolio, Silversands Beach House, which will launch in early 2024. From waterfall chasing to some of the most magical scuba dives; exploring historical sites, centuries-old rum distilleries and organic farm tours, the captivating soul of authentic Grenada is always at the forefront of Silversands, and Michele's work will continue to enhance these guest experiences.
