Nicholas Davies

The Doyle Collection is delighted to announce the appointment of Nicholas Davies as the General Manager of The Marylebone Hotel. Nicholas joins the Irish family-owned luxury hotel group with a wealth of experience from some of the world's most distinguished properties. This appointment comes in addition to the appointment of Susanne Traudt Romero, who took the helm General Manager of The Bloomsbury Hotel last year. Both these changes mark an exciting new chapter for this illustrious hotel group.

Nicholas Davies' successful journey in hospitality began in his teens when he started working in pubs in his local area of Hertfordshire and a passion for the industry was ignited. Immense dedication and hard work saw Nicholas swiftly climb the ladder, landing leadership roles at many of the UK's most prestigious hotels. Nicholas spent nearly a decade working with Rocco Forte Hotels, starting as food and beverage operations manager at Brown's in 2011, before moving to The Lowry Hotel in Manchester to take on the role of operations director in 2013 and later returning to Brown's as their hotel manager. Most recently he held as the position of Hotel Manager at 5-star hotel, The Langham, London.

Nicholas' dedication to the hospitality industry is exemplified by his role as Chairman of the St Julian Scholars (SJS) organisation, run by the pioneering Master Innholders group. The prestigious group brings together recognised leaders in hotel management to influence standards and extend professionalism within the industry, whilst also providing support and training. In May of this year, Nicholas was honoured to have been included in the 2023 list of appointed Master Innholders.

Having developed a passion for building long-term guest relationships as well as cultivating a loyal and hardworking team around them, Nicholas plans to continue fostering The Marylebone's reputation for delivering an exceptional guest experience and building a strong, passionate team at the landmark property.
