Glenn Wentzel has been appointed Director of Sales at Aloft Denver Downtown
With over 30 years of hospitality experience, Glenn Wentzel will optimize revenue opportunities for Aloft Downtown Denver while continuing to develop the hotel's iconic brand. Glenn has a keen understanding of how operations and sales are interconnected through forecasting and budgeting. He believes that ongoing education and enrichment create well-trained teams that build strong relationships with guests and clients alike and looks forward to implementing this at the hotel.
Glenn was lured into working in hospitality when he began working part-time at the front desk at a hotel in Pennsylvania. He then moved to Colorado and worked his way up to the role of General Manager at a hotel on the campus of Millersville University. Glenn has held the roles of Area Director of Sales and Marketing for Hyatt Place Denver Tech Center, Hyatt House Denver Tech Center, and Hyatt Place Denver/South Park Meadows. Most recently, he was General Manager at The Benson Hotel and Faculty Club in Aurora, Colorado.
Living in Denver, Glenn is passionate about Urban Homesteading with his eight chickens, two beehives, and vegetable garden. In his downtime, Glenn enjoys the great outdoors. Hiking is a big part of his love for nature, both in Colorado and when he travels. When not spending time outside, he enjoys renovating his 1882 Victorian farmhouse.
