Dustin Holt has been appointed Chief Suncare Officer at L’Auberge de Sedona

Guests of L'Auberge de Sedona, owned by DiamondRock Hospitality Company and managed by Aimbridge Hospitality, have it made in the metaphorical shade thanks to the resort's new partnership with the luxury sunscreen line Sonrei. Launched this month, the partnership sees Sonrei sunscreen featured throughout the creekside property, including at L'Apothecary Spa, lobby retail spaces, locker rooms, and the resort's outdoor pool.
Key to the new partnership is the designation of Sonrei Co-Founder Dustin Holt as "Chief Suncare Officer" of L'Auberge de Sedona. With his decades of experience in the pharmaceutical dermatology field, Holt is a font of information and encouragement for guests intent to protect against UV damage amid fun in the sun in Sedona.

Sun-Protection 101
L'Auberge de Sedona's Chief Suncare Officer is lending his expertise to discerning resort goers, providing top tips and tricks on best practices and common misconceptions about sun safety. His top advice for outdoor enthusiasts includes:
- Spray is Not Enough - The number one suncare mistake people make on vacation, especially when using mist or spray, is failing to apply them evenly or adequately. Rubbing in sunscreen after spraying is essential to ensure full, even coverage.
- Apply Early, Generously and Often - Sunscreen should go on at least 15-30 minutes prior to exposure. And don't skimp: use enough to cover all exposed skin. Reapplication every two hours is also key to protecting against harmful UV rays.
- Careful Not to Miss Spots - Pay close attention to areas of the body such as the ears, back of the neck, the tops of hands and feet, and scalps beneath thinning hair. Such commonly forgotten spots need protection, too.
- No Cloudy Days Off - It is a popular misconception that sunscreen is only necessary on sunny days or for outdoor activities. Harmful UV rays can penetrate clouds, windows, even certain clothing.
