Abid Nasir

Grand Millennium Hotel Dubai has appointed Abid Nasir as chief engineer.

The new hire has close to 20 years of experience in engineering operations and facilities management across some of the UAE's most recognised hospitality brands.

He joins from voco Bonnington Dubai, where he served as head of engineering, overseeing preventive maintenance programmes, spearheading sustainability initiatives and delivering high-profile renovation and upgrade projects.

Fluent in English, Urdu, and Punjabi, Nasir brings a global perspective to his work, aligning with the hotel's diverse team and international clientele.

His tenure saw him lead teams through major operational overhauls while ensuring minimal disruption to guest services. His career includes key leadership roles at Meydan Hotels & Hospitality's Bab Al Shams Desert Resort, Park Hyatt Dubai, and Bonnington Jumeirah Lakes Towers. Across these positions, he demonstrated a consistent ability to enhance operational efficiency, maintain safety compliance, and drive guest satisfaction through strategic project management.

In his new role, Nasir will be responsible for managing all engineering functions at the property. This includes preventive maintenance, safety management systems, energy monitoring, sustainability programmes, and long-term CapEx planning. His expertise in project coordination and quality management will be central to supporting the hotel's operational goals and guest experience standards.
