Erica Costa has been appointed Director of Food & Beverage at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi

Fairmont Bab Al Bahr has appointed Erica Costa as its new director of food and beverage.
Originally from Portugal, Costa's career spans Europe, Asia and the Middle East, with more than a decade of leadership in the global hospitality sector.
She began her journey with Anantara, contributing to the launch of the brand's first European property as assistant F&B manager, before moving to Thailand to lead operations at Anantara Koh Phangan.
Her career progressed with leadership roles at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, where she was associate director of food and beverage. Most recently, she held a senior position at JW Marriott Marquis Dubai.
Having spent nearly five years in Thailand and the last four years in the UAE, Costa brings both a global perspective and a local understanding of the region's competitive F&B landscape.
She is recognised for her hands-on leadership style, her ability to mentor future industry leaders and her belief that F&B executives should act as "business owners," closely tied to both operational performance and guest experience.
