John Swift

Sutton Hotel Collection has appointed John Swift as Director of Sales, overseeing sales performance across the portfolio which includes: The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences London, The Castle Hotel Windsor, and the Francis Hotel Bath.

John brings more than two decades of experience across midscale, upscale, and luxury hospitality, with a strong track record in revenue growth, market development, and high-value partnerships spanning MICE, corporate and luxury leisure segments. A familiar face to Windsor, John previously led sales for The Castle Hotel Windsor as well as the Francis Hotel Bath, and most recently led sales for Arora Group with responsibility for Fairmont Windsor Park, where he steered the hotel's pre-opening commercial strategy and helped establish it as a leading five-star business destination.

With a programme of key investments underway or announced at the collection, John joins at a pivotal moment. He will support the repositioning of the near completed £14 million investment into the Francis Hotel in Bath and will lead the sales efforts through the newly announced refurbishment plans for The Castle Hotel Windsor. His role includes expanding brand reach, sharpening the MICE proposition across the collection, unlocking new domestic and international markets, and deepening relationships with global partners to drive year-round demand.

Sutton Hotel Collection is progressing its programme of investment to enhance product, design, and guest experience across the portfolio. The Francis Hotel Bath is entering the final phase of its refurbishment, while The Castle Hotel Windsor will undergo a transformational upgrade starting in November 2025. Together, these initiatives will reposition the collection for sustained growth, elevating meeting and event capabilities, and supporting a stronger mix of international and domestic demand.
