Matthew Mullan has been appointed Resort General Manager at Hilton Barr Al Jissah Resorts in Muscat
Hilton today announced the appointment of Matthew Mullan as Resort General Manager, overseeing the newly rebranded hotels— DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Al Waha, Hilton Muscat Al Bandar, and Al Husn Hotel Muscat — three iconic properties that together form one of Muscat's most established and celebrated resort destinations.
Located along Oman's picturesque coastline, Barr Al Jissah Resorts has been a landmark address in Muscat for more than 20 years, welcoming generations of international and regional travelers. Renowned for its expansive beachfront, world-class leisure facilities and diverse dining offerings, the destination continues its legacy under Hilton, entering a new chapter since 1 January 2026, while preserving the essence that has made it one of Oman's most recognizable hospitality destinations.
In his role, Mullan will shape the strategic direction, guest engagement initiatives, and operational excellence of the three properties which comprise a total 680 keys. He will lead all aspects of resort operations - from brand alignment and guest experience to commercial performance and team development - across a destination that caters to families, leisure travelers and luxury seekers.
Mullan brings more than 30 years of international hospitality experience with Hilton, having held senior leadership and executive roles across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Caribbean. Most recently, he served as General Manager of London Hilton on Park Lane, one of Hilton's flagship hotels globally. His career also includes leadership roles at Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, Hilton Barbados Resort, Hilton Malta, and Hilton Sharm El Sheikh, with a strong track record in hotel openings, resort transformations, and multi-property operations.
