President and COO, New Castle Hotels & Resorts
Gerry Chase is President and Chief Operating Officer of New Castle Hotels and Resorts. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company, including all hotel and resort operations and company subsidiaries. Leveraging his more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Gerry is involved in feasibility evaluations for new projects and serves as New Castle’s point person in establishing critical brand relationships. Gerry launched his career with Marriott Hotels and served as vice president for Interstate Hotels from 1981- 1988. He joined New Castle as a shareholder in 1988. With a background that encompasses management assignments in every aspect of hotel operations, Gerry participates in a number of committees, including marketing and owners advisory committees with Starwood and the Marriott and Hilton Owners Advisory Committees. Gerry currently serves on the advisory board of the Hunter Hotel Conference, holds board positions with ASFONA (Association of Starwood Franchisees & Owners – North America), HILMAC (Hilton Managers Acceptance Corp.), and the American Hotel and Register Company, and was appointed in 2014 to American Hotel & Lodging Association’s Board of Directors. He is also a regular participant in industry conference panels and roundtables, where he offers his knowledge and points of view on key issues facing the hospitality industry today and in the future. Recently, Gerry became the 2015 recipient of AH&LA’s prestigious Arthur Landstreet Award, which is presented annually to an individual who has made a lasting impact on the quality of education and training in the hospitality industry.
