Dr. Anne-Kathrin ZschiegnerAnne is the Technical Assistance Advisor at The Long Run, which works with a collection of some of the world’s most sustainable, nature-based travel destinations demonstrating that business, and especially tourism, can drive positive change for the health of the planet and the well-being of people. She is passionate about sustainability and dedicated her career to support businesses embrace responsible and sustainable practices and become more competitive through continuous innovation and strategic business development. Prior to taking to joining The Long Run in 2011, she worked at the University of Exeter Business School (UK) as a Research Associate focusing on climate change mitigation and business innovation (2010) and completed her PhD on leadership on best practice in environmental management in small tourism businesses (2011). She also holds a Diplom from the University in Goettingen in Geography, Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Protection (2006).
