Responsible for the management of Airline Distribution Sales to customers worldwide, including Content deals for GDS distribution and NDC (New Distribution Capabilities). He is also responsible for driving the areas of Negotiation Strategy, Distribution Value Proposition and Commercial Policy (including Pricing Strategy). Paul has extensive experience of roles on both the airline and travel channels side within Amadeus, which gives him a unique understanding of the distribution business and needs of our Airline and Travel Seller customers. Paul has worked in Central, Regional and Local roles in Amadeus, which gives him a unique insight and understanding of the business dynamics within the company. From the mid-90s, together with his team he drove the expansion of Amadeus Commercial Organisations into Central, Eastern and South-East Europe. After 2000, he continued with the expansion of Amadeus into the Middle East. After a few years running the Western European markets, he took on the role of General Manager for Amadeus Spain and Portugal for almost 10 years. In summer of 2018, Paul joined the Global Airline Sales team in Distribution Sales. This holistic view together with his strategic, commercial and leadership skills, make Paul a strong asset who is keen on exploring new grounds with the aim to keep moving forward. Prior to joining Amadeus, he worked for the consulting firms Andersen Consulting (Accenture), Alexander Proudfoot, and Summa Consulting. Paul graduated from the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa) in 1988 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Born in South Africa, he now holds Spanish nationality after having lived in the country for more than 30 years.
