Terrill Patterson Sr.

Terrill Patterson Sr. is from Flint, Michigan and had a passion to succeed from a young age. Growing up, he played a variety of sports including swimming, volleyball, wrestling, and football. In high school, he was honored with the prestigious Who’s Who in Sports award four years in a row for wrestling. After graduating, he attended Eastern Michigan University where he studied speech therapy and began influencing those around him. Realizing his potential to achieve more, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he developed his love for acting while bartending. Since moving to Atlanta, he has starred in several notable films with guidance from his mentor, Terri J. Vaughn. After reaching the pinnacle of his bartending career, he launched a staffing company in 2014—Rellies Hospitality—with a vision to bridge the gap between elite bartenders and the public. Since then, Rellies Hospitality has grown into Georgia’s top-tier bar staffing company by leveraging Atlanta’s talent and infusing creativity, exceptional service, and a true love of cocktails. The company's success is grounded in the premium focus it has instilled in every part of its business model. By 2022, Rellies had facilitated more than 200 events and served over 200,000 guests, including high-end clients, political and public figures, and private parties. But that wasn’t enough for Terrill. While staffing events, he also wanted to shine a light on the broader hospitality industry. In 2020, he launched the Rellies Hospitality Awards Ceremony (RHAC) to recognize the best DJs, chefs, and bartenders. He also created a mixology competition—Rellies Mixologist of the Year Awards (MOYA)—to showcase Atlanta’s top bartenders. Due to the competition's success, it has expanded into a national cocktail competition across eight major cities: Chicago, Detroit, Washington D.C., Houston, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, and New York. In 2022, Terrill founded The Rellies Foundation, a nonprofit that allows him to host and sponsor events, opportunities, and educational sessions free or at low cost for anyone interested in gaining knowledge of the industry. His passion for helping others succeed is stronger than ever, backed by determination, skill, and heart. With those attributes, he’s committed to taking Rellies Hospitality to the top.
