George Vlachopoulos

With over 20 years of international experience in luxury hospitality across 12 countries and 3 continents, George Vlachopoulos has built a reputation for turning around underperforming assets, elevating service culture, and delivering sustainable financial growth. Known for his emotionally intelligent leadership and sharp commercial acumen, he has led several of the world’s most iconic resorts through successful transformations. Most recently, George served as General Manager of Park Hyatt St. Kitts, where he was appointed to reposition the property and elevate operational performance. Prior to that, he was Managing Director of Malliouhana in Anguilla—first under Auberge Resorts Collection and later with SHMG Group—where he spearheaded a multi-year turnaround that doubled EBITDA, broke ADR and NPS records, and reestablished the property as one of the Caribbean’s top-ranked resorts. His earlier roles include Area General Manager of Grace Hotels in Greece, where he oversaw Grace Santorini—ranked #1 in Europe and Greece by Travel + Leisure—and served at ultra-luxury destinations such as Nihi Sumba Island in Indonesia (voted “World’s Best Hotel” twice), Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Thailand, and Radisson Blu Park Hotel in Athens. George holds a Master of Arts in International Hospitality Management from the University of Birmingham, earned with full scholarship and top honors, and a Bachelor’s in Hospitality Business Management from the same university. He also completed executive education at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration through the GMP program, and has served as a guest lecturer at Birmingham. He is Lean Six Sigma certified and fluent in English and Greek, with conversational French.
