NEW ORLEANS, Concierge Networks, Inc., today announced that a new hotel brand, which expects to break ground on seven properties within the next several months, has signed a contract to install KioPhone in-room concierge appliances in its hotel rooms. The new chain has ordered more than 1,150 KioPhones for its first wave of new properties.

KioPhone is a combination 12-inch touchscreen kiosk and telephone that sits on the desk in the hotel room. It delivers guest centric content such as information on the hotel property, area information, restaurants, travel related goods and services and even access to the Internet and email without the use of a laptop. KioPhone provides a superior guest experience, especially for the business road warrior, as well as additional revenue-producing capabilities for the hotelier all through a fun, friendly and easy-to-use interface.

"We are re-inventing the guest experience with the hotel industry's only brand truly oriented to the mid-to-upscale business traveler featuring a heavy emphasis on technology," said a spokesperson for the unnamed brand. "By having the KioPhone as a brand standard in each room along with its in-room concierge services, KioPhone will play a significant role in more positioning our new brand with the business traveler, especially the female business traveler, who prefers the added security of being able to access information about local restaurants and other attractions from the comfort of her room."

The hotel company originally had planned to place a personal computer in each room but opted for KioPhone because of its multiple uses for the guest as well as revenue-producing capabilities for the brand. "By combining our telephone and computer hardware, we expect to save in excess of $1 million, while providing a better guest experience," the hotel spokesperson said.
