Homewood Suites by Hilton Announces Plans to Build New Hotel in Ontario, Canada, in Late 2005
The Brand's First Newly Built Canadian Hotel Breaks Ground at the Mississauga Entertainment Centrum, Five Miles from Toronto's Pearson International Airport

Homewood Suites by Hilton(R), the national brand of upscale all-suite, residential-style hotels, breaks ground today for a newly built 108-suite Canadian hotel inside the Mississauga Entertainment Centrum, a master-planned entertainment, restaurant and retail center in suburban Toronto. The announcement was made at a ceremony today by Jim Holthouser, senior vice president, brand management, Homewood Suites by Hilton, and Alnoor (Al) Gulamani, president and CEO of Courtney Park Holdings, Ltd.
The Homewood Suites by Hilton Toronto/Mississauga will be the newest addition to the expanding portfolio of more than 130 Homewood Suites by Hilton hotels – and the brand's second in Canada. The hotel will be owned by Courtney Park Holdings, Ltd. and managed by Richmond Hill, Ontario-based Bayview Hospitality, Inc.
Slated to open in spring/summer 2005, the six-story hotel will feature 108 suites, an indoor pool and whirlpool, a fitness area, meeting space and a beautifully landscaped courtyard. It will be part of the 26.5-acre Mississauga Entertainment Center, which is anchored by the 16-screen, 94,000-square-foot AMC Megaplex Theater, and home to many shops and restaurants. Conveniently located on the northeast corner of Highway 10 and Highway 401 in Mississauga, the property will be located on Annagem and Edwards Boulevard, near the growing roster of companies joining the 170-acre Gateway Business Park. Another major asset will be its accessibility to Toronto's Pearson International Airport (within five miles) and to the 400 series of highways, such as 401, 410, 403 and 407.

The new Homewood Suites by Hilton will feature residential-style studios, one- and two-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens, and spacious sleeping and living areas that are large enough for work, study, entertainment and relaxation. Each unit will include a kitchen unit with a cook-stop stove, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher.

Guest amenities at Homewood Suites by Hilton hotels include a daily complimentary hot breakfast buffet in the hotel's hospitality center, called the "Lodge;" an evening Manager's Reception(a), Monday through Thursday, with a complimentary light meal and beverages; exercise facilities; and a 24-hour on-site Suite Shop(R) convenience store. Complimentary high-speed Internet access is available in all guest suites, in addition to wireless Internet access in the Lodge and meeting room.
