Hyatt Place™ Opens Two More Atlanta-Area Hotels
120 to Open by Year-End; Nine in Atlanta-Area

ALPHARETTA, Ga. | Hyatt Place Atlanta/Alpharetta/Windward Parkway and Hyatt Place Atlanta/Cobb Galleria celebrated grand openings today, bringing the number of Hyatt Place hotels in the Atlanta area to four, with five more scheduled to open by year-end. By reflecting the comfort, flexibility, technology and taste people incorporate into their daily lives, Hyatt Place is the first hotel brand designed to let guests stay like they live.
“With Hyatt Place, we saw an opportunity to create a hotel experience that understands the way people are living their lives and offer guests a hotel environment that’s designed specially to allow them to be more productive, relaxed and fulfilled,” said Jim Abrahamson, senior vice president for Hyatt Corporation. “Atlanta’s impressive business community is spread across a large area, which is unique for a metropolis. Based on the city’s layout and volume of companies operating in the surrounding area, we believe Hyatt Place’s multiple locations can provide the right kind of experience for this mix of travelers.”
Similar to what travelers might experience at home, guests of Hyatt Place can spread out in their spacious, contemporary guestrooms, taking advantage of free Wi-Fi access while stretched out on the signature Hyatt Grand Bed™ or the Cozy Corner sectional sofa-sleeper. They can also catch the evening news, the big game or the latest feature movies on the 42-inch flat panel, high-definition television offering 11 channels of high-definition programming in addition to an already impressive channel selection. Hyatt Place guests will also have access to Hotel SportsNetSM service, which includes NFL SUNDAY TICKET™ and NBA LEAGUE PASSSM as well as other nationally branded professional and college sports programming.
Hyatt Place hotels also feature the Gallery, an innovative welcoming arrival area where guests are personally greeted by the Gallery Host, a dynamic new position in the hospitality industry that encompasses everything from guest check-in to giving personal tours of the hotel. In the Gallery, guests will also find a self-registration kiosk, an intimate coffee and wine café and bakery, free Wi-Fi, a TV den and an e-room with free access to a public computer and printer. Guests at Hyatt Place may purchase signature hot breakfast entrées along with Starbucks® specialty coffees or enjoy a free continental breakfast.
