Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) today announces the opening of six new Westin hotels the remaining six weeks of the year. The upcoming openings underscore the Westin brand’s focus on international expansion and will include locations in India: The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, The Westin Mumbai Garden City and The Westin Pune Koregaon Park; China: The Westin Tianjin; and the United States: The Westin Washington Dulles Airport and The Westin Lake Mary, Orlando North.

Building on the six remaining properties in 2009, the Westin brand will continue its meaningful international expansion in 2010. Next year’s 12 openings span Canada, China, Greece, Japan, India, Mexico and the United States.

The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace

The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace is located just outside the city of Hyderabad in the heart of the Raheja Mindspace IT Park which is fast becoming the new central business district and “Silicon Valley” of India. The hotel offers 428 guest rooms, two restaurants, a lounge bar, deli shop, WestinWORKOUT® fitness center, outdoor pool and India’s first Heavenly Spa by Westin™.

The Westin Washington Dulles Airport

The Westin Washington Dulles Airport is just one mile from Dulles International Airport and under 30 minutes from DC’s center. The hotel has 314 guest rooms and also offers a 24-hour WestinWORKOUT® Gym and indoor pool. The hotel has partnered with Reston National Golf course to provide preferred tee times and greens.

The Westin Pune Koregaon Park

The Westin Pune Koregaon Park will offer 277 guest rooms and suites as well as WestinWORKOUT® guest rooms for travelers who prefer to exercise in the privacy of their room. The hotel will features three restaurants including Prego, a classic Italian restaurant and Kangan, an Indian specialty restaurant. The hotel will also feature a WestinWORKOUT® fitness center, outdoor pool and Heavenly Spa by Westin™.

The Westin Lake Mary, Orlando North

The Westin Lake Mary, Orlando North is located in the center of Florida's High Tech Corridor and offers 253 guest rooms and 10 meeting spaces. Its prime location allows guests easy access to nearby corporations as well as to the attractions of Orlando and its scenic surroundings. The hotel offers Shula's 347 Grill named in honor of the Hall of Fame Coach Don Shula, exclusively serving Angus Beef® burgers and SHULA CUT® steaks.

The Westin Mumbai Garden City

The 269 room Westin Mumbai Garden City is located on the Western Express Highway, minutes from the Mumbai International Airport and Bollywood and will feature Westin’s signature Heavenly Spa® and WestinWORKOUT® fitness center. The property will offer all day dining at Taste, a lounge bar, poolside bar, and rooftop restaurant; Goregaon Reserve. For business travelers, the hotel will feature nine meetings rooms and over 2,900 square feet of meetings and function space.

The Westin Tianjin

The Westin Tianjin is part of a mixed use complex featuring hotel, condominiums, office space, and retail shopping conveniently located in the Heping district, the central business district of Tianjin. With 275 guest rooms and suites, the hotel also offers Westin Kids Club® Amenities, a fully-equipped health club, indoor pool, and spa facilities. In addition, there is a total of 1,575 square meters of meeting and function space, a fully equipped business centre, and wireless technology in all meeting rooms and public spaces.
