Sol Meliá Inaugurates The New Hotel Meliá Sharm, Paradise In The Most Popular Resort On The Red Sea
The five star deluxe hotel provides 468 rooms and is located in the most dynamic and increasingly popular beach destination in Egypt
Sol Meliá has opened an extraordinary new five star resort in Egypt, the hotel Meliá Sharm, located on the coast of the Red Sea in Sharm El Sheikh (Sinai peninsula), considered one of the finest scuba diving locations in the world thanks to its spectacular coral reefs and marine biodiversity. Sharm El Sheikh attracts thousands of tourists every year and is already home to three Sol and Meliá hotels operated by Spain’s leading hotel company.
Meliá Sharm boasts a stunning three-storey lobby with magnificent sea views as well as four lagoon-style swimming pools with fountains, a gym, tennis court, multi-purpose sports court and a business centre with state-of-the-art facilities for conferences, meetings and a wide range of special events in over 800 metros squared of event space.
The hotel enjoys a privileged location in Montazah Ras Nasrany Bay, only 7km from Sharm El Sheikh international airport in the south of the Sinai peninsula, one of the leading tourism destinations on the Red Sea. The hotel and its private beach have great views of Tiran Island, famous for its scuba diving and snorkelling over the inimitable Red Sea coral reefs. The local attractions also include the Ras Mohamed National Park with some of the most fantastic scuba diving locations in the world, with 800 metre tall underwater cliffs and coral gardens. The Saint Catherine Monastery and Moses Mount are also nearby.
Meliá Sharm is the fourth Sol Meliá hotel in Egypt, a growing resort destination for the company to introduce the superior quality and service typical of the Meliá Hotels & Resorts brand, in line with the Sol Meliá growth and diversification objectives in high potential, dynamic destinations such as Egypt, forecast to receive around 14 million visitors in 2011.
