Two leading global institutions in management education, EHL (Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne) and IMD (International Management Development), have joined forces to develop a unique kind of training, FBH Family Business in Hospitality, a new executive programme specifically targeted at family-owned businesses and hospitality.

The objective of this high-end programme is to understand and manage the challenges and strategic issues that confront family-owned businesses in the hospitality industry.

This programme is aimed at members of family-owned businesses within the hospitality industry, including the new generation stepping into the business, senior non-family executives and board members.

FBH Family Business in Hospitality lasts for five days and is divided into five modules, one per day. It occurs both at IMD and EHL. Its first edition will take place from 3 to 7 October 2011. The courses are given by 8 Professors from IMD and EHL.

Key subjects of this programme are: growth strategies from an ownership perspective, generational transition planning, communication and relationship issues, Family Business and their management needs and structures,overview of legal issues, definition of Business Models, trends and innovation in IT, and a case study.
