Thousands of Halifax Convention Delegates Welcomed to Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2011

HALIFAX, NS – Thousands of Halifax convention delegates from across North America and around the world will be welcomed to Halifax in 2011. For conferences from municipal leaders to lawyers to petroleum geologists, event planners are choosing Halifax’s unique mix of hospitality, accessibility and urban appeal.

Halifax was chosen as the host city for the 2011 Shnier Summit. “Halifax and Nova Scotia will provide an incredible back-drop for this year’s event,” says Chris Schneider, SHNIER’s Director of Marketing & I. T. Service. “The East Coast charm exudes from the scenery, the architecture and most importantly the people.” The Shnier Summit, Canada’s largest flooring convention, will bring 450 delegates to Halifax.

Other Halifax meetings on the 2011 Halifax conventions calendar include 1450 delegates for the Federal Association of Canadian Municipalities (May 2011), 1000 delegates attending the International Conference on Mercury as a Global Pollutant (July 2011), 1250 delegates during the Canadian Bar Association Conference (August 2011) and 750 delegates arriving for the Polar Petroleum Potential Conference and Exhibition (August 2011), just to name a few of the many Halifax meetings and conventions slated for 2011.
