Shanghai-based Zendai Group today unveils Himalayas Qingdao Hotel, the debut hotel

for the new deluxe hospitality brand, Himalayas Hotels & Communities. Just before its soft opening, in March 2014, Himalayas Qingdao Hotel was hailed as one of the three 'Most Anticipated Hotel Openings in China' by the influential Voyage Magazine.

Himalayas Qingdao Hotel is the first lifestyle hotel in northeastern China's picturesque

beachside city of Qingdao. Exciting, chic, and cultured, the contemporary hotel speaks the language of the world and delivers extraordinary moments through superior service standards and memorable gourmet and wellness experiences.

Himalayas Qingdao Hotel is ideally positioned in the seaside Laoshan District at the

base of the culturally important Mt. Lao (Lao Shan), and just 10 minutes' drive to Shilaoren Beach. The lifestyle hotel forms part of Zendai Thumb Plaza, an integrated lifestyle community encompassing residences, shopping, dining, and entertainment. It's a convenient 25-minute drive from Qingdao Liuting International Airport and Qingdao Railway Station. Qingdao International Convention Centre, the Qingdao Beer Festival site, and Grand Theatre are right at the hotel's doorstep.

The stunning design of Himalayas Qingdao Hotel is created by HASSELL Studio

Australia, the same firm behind the iconic designs of the Sydney Olympic Swimming Centre and Chongqing Grand Theatre. The contemporary interiors take inspiration from Mt. Lao and its natural lodestones. Used throughout the hotel, the attractive lodestones are naturally magnetic rocks that possess unique healing properties for the body and are imbued with fortune-favoring feng shui attributes.

Himalayas Qingdao Hotel offers 208 exquisitely furnished, paperless guest rooms,

including 24 Suites. Every room features high-tech luxury amenities, including high- definition LED TVs, iPod docks, and complimentary WiFi. All-day Z1 Restaurant serves gourmet local and international cuisines. The fashionable Z1 Lounge Bar serves signature cocktails and fine wines, plus 'Aperitivo' happy hours.

Superlative wellness facilities include a 135 sqm Health Club and the full-service Spa

Himalayas. Conferences, events, and weddings are a Himalayas specialty, with a total of 1,000 sqm of function venues including an elegant 340 sqm Grand Ballroom with a large reception foyer, plus 10 multi-functional meeting rooms ranging in size from 45 sqm to 120 sqm. All venues are equipped with state-of-the-art audio and visual capabilities.
