GREAT NECK, N.Y. (July 24, 2014) ─ M&R Hotel Management today announced the appointment of Evette Ubinas as general manager of the 93-room Comfort Inn hotel on Wild Avenue in Staten Island, responsible for operations, sales, revenue management, marketing, guest relations, security, human resources, housekeeping and maintenance.

The 11-year hospitality industry veteran previously served M&R as rooms operation manager at its Comfort Inn Midtown West on West 48th Street in New York. Earlier in her career, she was director of operations, front office manager and director of housekeeping at hotels in North Carolina, Colorado, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Ubinas earned a certificate at the Pickens Technical Center in Aurora, Colo. Her honors include the Hilton Spirit of Pride Award in 2005 and 2007 and the Stars of the Industry Guest Relations Award presented by the Greater Philadelphia Hotel Association in 2005. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

The Comfort Inn on Staten Island features complimentary parking, Wi-Fi, hot breakfast and 24-hour-a-day fitness and business centers. The hotel, which recently upgraded its king and double-queen beds, caters to business and leisure guests and tour groups. It is within easy driving distance of Staten Island attractions and Newark Liberty International Airport. Complimentary shuttle service is offered to the Staten Island Ferry.

Stays at the Comfort Inn qualify for points in Choice Hotels International's Choice Privileges frequent guest program. Points can be redeemed for free stays, merchandise and other benefits.
