READING Pa. and MCLEAN, Va. -- DoubleTree by Hilton today opened DoubleTree by Hilton Reading, a newly built 209-room hotel, conveniently located in Reading's bustling downtown business district. Surrounded by breathtaking Appalachian Mountain views, the boutique-style hotel is owned by Reading Hospitality, LLC and is managed by PM Hospitality Strategies.

"We are thrilled to welcome guests to DoubleTree by Hilton Reading, with its ideal central location and boutique feel," said John Greenleaf, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton. "Guests at this beautiful new hotel can expect the world-class service and the 'little things' that have helped build DoubleTree by Hilton's global reputation, beginning with the warm chocolate chip cookie welcome we offer to each guest at check-in."

The eight-story DoubleTree by Hilton Reading unveils a modern interior designed by RD Jones & Associates, featuring urban rustic décor, wood accents and a soft color palette. Locally-inspired artwork adorns the walls throughout the property, and inviting guest rooms offer 43" HDTVs, mini refrigerators and in-room safes.

Additional complimentary offerings include Wi-Fi throughout the hotel's public areas and guest rooms, a 24-hour business center, a 24-hour fitness center featuring Life Fitness equipment and an indoor swimming pool. The hotel also offers free garage parking and shuttle service within a five mile radius of the hotel.

As part of its grand opening, the hotel introduces a new restaurant, Cheers American Bistro, open for all-day dining with seasonal menus that feature regionally-inspired farm-to-table entrees, such as gourmet burgers, salads, steaks and seafood. Guests can enjoy their meal in the restaurant's outdoor seating area, or start their day with the brand's Wake Up DoubleTree Breakfast, while those preferring to dine in the comfort of their room can conveniently order room service.

Featuring 27,500 square feet of flexible meeting space, including a 12,000 square foot ballroom, DoubleTree by Hilton Reading offers guests the ideal setting for gatherings and events of up to 1,300 people. For smaller groups, the hotel offers the Meetings Simplified by DoubleTree by Hilton package from $59.49 per person, which includes the meeting room, basic meeting Wi-Fi, meeting room supplies including a flipchart, markers, extension and power cord, and all day non-alcoholic beverage service. Catering services and a dedicated event staff are available to enhance any event.

"Reading is a historic city known for beautiful outdoor parks, classic Dutch architecture and its convenient location halfway between Philadelphia and Pennsylvania's state capital, Harrisburg. Visitors will enjoy views of iconic buildings such as the Pagoda, built in 1908 atop Mount Penn and now open as a café and gift shop," said Craig Poole, general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Reading. "We look forward to becoming the go-to destination for guests visiting Reading and providing them with a premier full-service hotel experience."

DoubleTree by Hilton Reading is located 65 miles from Philadelphia International Airport and is convenient to many businesses and attractions in the area.
